Metro Denver Animal Welfare Alliance (MDAWA), formed in 2000, is a coalition of 25 public and private shelters, rescue groups, and other animal service providers. Our mission is to foster the collaborative efforts of our members to promote humane care for companion animals in our community.

How You Can Help
There are many ways to help:
- donate cash or needed supplies to your local MDAWA member
- volunteer — most shelters and rescues rely heavily on volunteer help
- foster an animal – many shelters use foster homes to care for young or injured/ill animals prior to adoption
- participate in your workplace giving campaign
