Cat Care Society is a limited admission, non-profit cat shelter in Lakewood, Colorado. Founded in 1981, they believe all cats are worthy regardless of age or abilities, and work to improve the lives of cats in need across the Denver metro area.
Their free-roaming shelter uses cages only when medically necessary, giving cats space to play, lounge, and enjoy outdoor catios. Committed to partnering with shelters across Colorado, they take in cats with special needs — including those with FIV, FeLV, diabetes, or kidney disease — providing life-saving care and finding them loving homes.

The Colorado Pet Overpopulation Fund (CPOF) is a specific charitable fund established in 2001 by the Colorado State Legislature. CPOF exists to work with animal care and control organizations (including pet rescues), veterinarians, and local communities to curb pet overpopulation in Colorado and to educate the public about the importance of controlling pet overpopulation.

Riverdale Animal Shelter provides safe shelter for homeless pets.
Riverdale is an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, they take in over 8,000 stray, surrendered, and abandoned animals. Riverdale provides adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets and reunite lost pets with their families. We also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard pets against illness or being lost forever.
Riverdale provides sheltering services for the cities of Brighton, Commerce City, Federal Heights, Northglenn, and Thornton, the towns of Bennett, Hudson, and Lochbuie, as well as Unincorporated Adams County.
